Personally...
As a working mother and devoted wife I know that the key to success is balance. I moved to Apex more than 14 years ago because it offered a great quality of life. I believe it still does. While the town grows, we must ensure that quality of life is not compromised but rather, enhanced. We need to ensure that the town achieves and retains balance. We should encourage commercial development in the right location while we champion small business. We want well planned transportation improvements that alleviate congestion and better connected greenways and parks so that we can get out of our vehicles occasionally.
I was born in Connecticut but attended middle and high schools in rural North Carolina. I moved to the Triangle to become a Tarheel at UNC Chapel Hill. As Apex expands I want it to maintain the small town feel of the places I love.
I bring a different perspective and have worked collaboratively to bring more balance and community voice to our town's policies and proceedings.
